We need your help promoting our commitment to strengthening national security through support of Guard, Reserve families. We’ve developed this toolkit to help you share the work being done, and unify our message to internal and external audiences. Please tailor these messages to your organization — make this campaign your own.
The #AnswerTheCall Campaign is a national awareness campaign that represents all of those who have a vested interested in supporting the Reserve Components and their Families:
- Guard and Reserve Servicemembers #AnsweredTheCall to serve our nation;
- Their Families #AnsweredTheCall to support them;
- American Businesses #AnsweredTheCall to actively employ these Dual-Career Warriors and their Families;
- Community Organizations #AnsweredTheCall to help facilitate these relationships and initiatives.

- Emails: let your community know about the Call by tailoring and sending out pre-written emails.
- Social media content: spread the word through your social media channels.
- Website content: publish content on your website, blog, or Intranet.
- Announcement / press release: share with local organizations and media outlets.
- Stories, photos & graphics: leverage high-quality photos and graphics of your team at the office, in the field, and participating in community events. Official partners will have access to custom branded collateral materials for their campaigns.

ROA’s Citizen-Warrior Coalition mission is to promote the partnership between the Reserve Components (Reserve and National Guard), those who serve – our “citizen-warriors,” and the private sector.
“Your support not only brings credibility to the issues we are tackling on Capitol Hill but enables all of us to better serve our nation’s Reserve and Guard forces,” said Jeffrey Phillips, ROA executive director.
While most military employment and transition programs focus on those leaving active duty service – ROA’s Citizen-Warrior Coalition is the only military workforce development program solely focused on educating American businesses about the value of the Reserve Component labor force and the positive impact “dual career” employees bring to their employers.
The Coalition brings together the Department of Defense Reserve Component leadership, our citizen-warriors, and their employers to identify challenges placed on American businesses in the employment of Reserve Component members and their families.
As an industry partner, we are committed to employing our nation’s hometown heroes who work hard every day to serve our nation and their workplace organizations.
We hope you join us in our efforts to support this often overlooked demographic of service members.
